RELY ON OUR EXPERTISE
A professional home inspector backed by decades of experience.
A Red Seal tradesman with a keen eye for detail and a passion for local history.
Founder and owner of FERA Properties, Adam, began his career in the cabinetmaking industry where he’s spent two decades working on different jobsites installing cabinets and trim, and eventually working his way up to oversee a team of cabinet installers. During his time in the industry, he’s had many notable accomplishments from winning the Ontario Skills Competition and competing in the Canadian Skills Competition, successfully completing his Red Seal test in cabinetmaking, to becoming the go-to guy for professional advice from his tradesmen peers.
From passion projects to business venture.
Adam, his wife, Ruth and their three children recently embarked on a new adventure tackling real estate projects starting with an out-of-province investment and renovations, to then experimenting with flipping houses in their local community. From small renovations to complete gut jobs and remodels, these projects have allowed them to hone their general knowledge of many trades, and utilize their attention to detail. These projects sparked their interest in pursuing home inspections as a business, leading Adam to pursue formal education via Carson Dunlop as a Program Leader in Home Inspection which he recently completed in 2024.
Throughout their journey, Adam and his family have continued to learn and grow their knowledge along the way. Whether it be related to a specific trade, or digging into local history, FERA Properties is here to better answer the “why” question that inevitably comes up during home inspections to give you peace of mind for the future.
Utilizing local history alongside our home inspection helps identify potential risks, such as past construction trends, or zoning changes, that could affect a property's condition and safety. Understanding local historical factors gives valuable context for assessing the home's structure and maintenance needs

Some of the “why” questions that commonly come up in home inspections might be:
“Why is there water in the basement?”
“Why are there icicles hanging from the eaves?”
“Why is there a crack in the foundation?”
“Why does the house addition sag and the original house doesn't?”
“Why are there patches on the walls or ceiling?”
A Company Rooted in Family Values
From their company name to their everyday practices, ‘FERA’ is grounded in family. The ‘FERA’ name represents the first initial of the members of Adam’s family - Finnley, Elliott, Ruth and Adam.
The FERA family recently gained another addition, Keller, who is bound to be another core contributor to the house flipping, real estate, and home inspection adventures of this family team!
